CDRS were activated to two jobs yesterday.
The first was this morning at approx 09:15 where a push bike rider had fallen from his bike in bushland near Kurri Kurri.
Our volunteers drove our 4wd into the bushland to assist NSW Ambulance with moving the patient on to a stokes litter to enable him to be transported from where he was to the awaiting Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
It was great teamwork by all of the emergency services involved in successfully moving the patient due to the terrain.
Second call was to a two car MVA. Arriving on scene it was confirmed that no persons were trapped in the vehicles, but we will always assist other emergency services if they require us to.
Two of our volunteers Robbie and Doug assisted with first aid treatment to one of the casualties in the vehicles before the casualty was then continued treatment by NSW Ambulance.
Once again as per the previous callout, all emergency services worked together to successfully get the job done.
