Calling for new recruits

Cessnock District Rescue Squad will be looking at recruiting new members in the near future. If you are wanting to give back to your community and enjoy helping people, then being part of our squad could be a position you enjoy.

We will be recruiting for both of our locations in Cessnock and Kurri Kurri.

Some of your training will include subjects such as road crash rescue, industrial and urban search and rescue, animal rescue, first aid, communications and various other subjects.

Becoming a member of the squad also requires members to participate in fund raising events such as raffles, traffic management and car parking duties, this does sometimes involve weekend events.

Training is predominantly held on Monday nights between 7-9 pm at the Cessnock base.
Having great comradery in our squad is a must, so you must be a team minded person and be able to work well in high pressure situations.
