Squad turns 40

2018 is a big milestone for our squad. This year our squad turns 40.
Cessnock District Rescue Squad was founded back in 1978, and has since become one of the busiest V.R.A. Squads in New South Wales.
For 40 years our dedicated volunteers have been servicing our community, and as you can see in these earlier pictures, even back then we received great support from the locals and that still carries on today.
Our Squad began with around half a dozen volunteers , and after meetings with the council and other emergency services the squad was formed.
To all members past and present, thank you for dedication and service. To all of the businesses and local residents who have supported, and continue to support us, we say thank you to you as well.
Our motto of “A helping Hand, Anywhere, Any Time” still remains 40 years on.
