We have been very busy over the past months, and although we have had a number of our posts on Facebook, we have fallen behind with our web page being up to date.
Below are some of the stories and pictures from over the past months, we will endeavor to keep the website up to date in the future.
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS
We have had a quiet patch with accidents over the Christmas / New Year period, although before then and after we have had our share. Some were pretty intense rescue situations.
This was at Farley, where the driver of a car had lost control and then coming to rest on the front veranda of a house.
Another out of control vehicle at Kitchener which had collided with a telegraph pole.
Head on collision between two vehicles at Abermain where one person from each vehicle had to be cut free.
ANIMAL RESCUES
We have had dozens of snake calls so far this season and with the warmer weather is seems there will be plenty more. Not only have we had snakes, we have had a number of kangaroos, birds and wombats we have had to deal with. We work very closely with the Native Animal Trust Fund when it comes to animal rescues to ensure they get the best of care after they are captured.
MISSING PERSON SEARCHES
We were asked to assist locally and interstate with missing person searches, as well as assisting with the continued search for missing aircraft VH_MDX. Some of our members spent several days away from the area helping other services and crews to try and find answers to these unsolved cases.
We have received a number of donations from our generous community, we would like to thank you for your continued support, without your generosity we would not be able to continue to operate.
