At 1411 this afternoon our squad was activated to a property in Elrington where an incident took place trapping a man under a 250kg metal water tank.
The man was trapped by both legs from above the knees.
Once the paramedics were satisfied with the patient’s stability, rescue air bags were placed either side of the patient by our operators, with cribbing packed as a secondary safety measure, the bags were gently raised to a point where he could be released.
He was loaded onto a spine board and carried to the mobile bed, placed into the ambulance and transported to hospital for further assessment and treatment. Well done to all involved
