2 activations in the Wollombi area today

2 activations this afternoon for our operators.
12:31 – we were activated to assist with a search and rescue for a missing person at Laguna. Our drone operators were also activated to this search as well.
Shortly after our team arrived at the manning post, the person of interest was located by Police safe and well.
18:35 we were activated to a road crash rescue in Wollombi.
Arriving on scene, 2 elderly persons remained in a vehicle that had left the roadway and gone down an embankment.
The vehicle came to rest on its wheels. With the ambulance a short while away, even though the persons said they were fine, we encouraged them to remain in the vehicle until paramedics arrived and checked them over before moving them.
We sat with them until the medical team arrived and then let them make their medical assessment and treatment if any.
Our state of the art lighting tower was erected to light up the scene to make it safe to walk up and down embankment.
