Worker injured at industrial site in Branxton

At 12:35 today our squad was activated to an industrial rescue incident in Branxton.
The request was specifically for a heavy rescue unit, which since the introduction of our new heavy rescue vehicle, we are ideally equipped for this situation.
Arriving on scene, the worker was extricated and treated by medical personnel , we assisted with traffic control and road closures in preparation for the landing of the toll rescue helicopter.
Our team calculated the resources required to finalise the assistance on scene before returning the surplus vehicles and operators back to base to cover any further incidents that may arise.
The worker involved in the incident was loaded into the rescue helicopter and taken to hospital for further assessment and treatment.
