No rest for our dedicated team

It’s been a busy few days for our operators in the local area.
One of those call-outs was to a motor vehicle collision in Pelaw Main.
Following the collision , one of the vehicles ended up coming to rest on its side.
Once the vehicle was stabilised, operators used our glass nibbler drill attachment to cut a neat opening in the windscreen which enabled the occupant to exit the vehicle.

Earlier this week, we were activated to assist police to search for a missing person in Cessnock.
Working alongside other emergency services, a large scale area was covered in the Cessnock CBD, we have attached a photo of some of the area covered, the different colours showing the distance travelled by a few of the search party.
The missing person was later found safe and the search was finalised.

Over the weekend our operators spent 2 days at the Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival where we were set up to provide first aid to any persons who may require assistance while attending the activities.
We also had a static display set up to answering any questions regarding our squad and showcase some of our equipment.

Several animal rescues were also performed over the week.

All of the above were performed whilst still attending our regular training sessions and having plenty of resources to cover any other callouts that may arise.
