Confronting scene at Pelaw Main

At 1544 this afternoon our squad was activated to a road crash rescue on Leggetts Drive in Pelaw Main.
Arriving on scene was the aftermath of a single vehicle colliding with a power pole.
The impact caused the powerpole to be broken into several pieces and power lines to be on the ground. The vehicle came to rest on its roof some distance away
All necessary precautions and procedures were followed before any operators went near the vehicle.
Upon given the all clear, our operators set about assisting NSW Ambulance with manoeuvring and treating the patient.
Once the paramedics and other medical retrieval staff gave the ok, the patient was placed on a stokes litter, then transported using our mule stretcher to the awaiting ambulance.
This was a pretty confronting scene for all involved and everyone on scene should be proud of your efforts.
Well done to you all.
